What is Project Break?
Project Break is an attempt at writing a visual novel, centering around love, hatred, suspense, and incurable genetic illnesses. The main purpose of Project Break is manifold: it will teach us, the members of Northern Light Productions, the necessary skills needed to create visual novels; it will be an attempt at bringing visual novels to a greater Western audience; and most importantly, it will be a work of art for fellow visual novel fans and fanatics to enjoy... or at least that's what I'm hoping it will come down to.
Why is it called Project Break?
Project Break is only a codename for the visual novel, similar to how the codename for Windows 7 during development was Blackcomb. The formal name has not been decided as of now.
Who is Northern Light Productions?
Northern Light Productions is the golden team of developers working together to give birth to this wonderful, marvelous gift to the visual novel world... is what I'd like to say, but as of this moment, Northern Light Productions officially consists of two people: myself (Palladium), in charge of writing scripts, basic insertion of scripts, and among other small bits here and there, being in charge; and Itsura, in charge of sprites and event cgs. As you can see, we are in desperate need of good composers, background artists, programmers, editors, and the like. If you are interested in helping out with our effort, please email me at n.lightproductions@gmail.com; I will be more than glad to share more information. In fact, even if you aren't interested in helping out, feel free to ask me about anything related to Project Break.
Thank you for your interest in Project Break. We are only two amateurs, barely entering adult life, struggling to throw our ideas out to the public; with your support, we can become much more than that. Once again, if you are interested in helping out, whether it's with music, graphics, programming, or otherwise, please feel free to email me. We will have a formal website up and running (hopefully) within the next month; from there you may find out more about Project Break and more about Northern Light Productions (which hopefully will be graced with more members by then). Please, if this has caught your interest, spread the word; the more people there are that are willing to see it come to fruition, the more we will be motivated to work to bring it to you.
And remember to check back for updates.
